49er Vakaros Mount Testing

We are developing new 49er mounts for the Vakaros Atlas that will support the launch of RaceSense in the 49er class next season. To refine the design, we are asking for 49er teams to test some prototypes and help us find the best placement on the boat.

Since RaceSense relies on precise orientation data, the mounts must hold the instruments securely in a position that still remains clearly visible to the crew. Unlike the bouncy compass slings we’re used to, these prototype mounts are robust, rigid carbon-and-plastic components. This will give you more value from your Vakaros this winter while also helping us finalize the mount.

By signing up, you’ll receive:

• A carbon Vakaros mount to use and test during December and January, free of charge (shipping late November)
• A 20% discount on the final production model, releasing early next year
• Direct input into the design characteristics of the final product

In return, we simply ask for your feedback on the prototype mounts throughout the testing period. Details to follow.
